Building a marketplace from the ground up is not an easy task, especially when people have never heard of it before. As the founder and administrator of CozonLagosHub, I have spent time both online and on the streets of Lagos sharing flyers, talking to business owners, and introducing people to the platform. The journey has been filled with challenges, lessons, and encouraging moments.
When I first started distributing CozonLagosHub flyers around Lagos, many people were hesitant. Some looked at the flyer with curiosity, while others were skeptical. A few people asked if the platform was genuine, while some simply walked away without showing interest. In today's world, people are careful about new opportunities because they have seen many scams and fake promises online.
Despite the doubts, I continued sharing the vision behind CozonLagosHub. I explained that it is a marketplace designed to help people buy, sell, advertise their products, and connect with customers more easily. As I spoke with traders, entrepreneurs, and small business owners, I noticed that many people were interested but needed reassurance before joining.
One thing I quickly discovered was that many people were not familiar with online marketplaces. Some business owners wanted to join but did not know how to create an account or upload their products. Instead of simply giving them a flyer and moving on, I decided to help them personally.
I spent time guiding users through the registration process, showing them how to navigate the platform and upload their products successfully. In some cases, I stood beside them and walked them through every step. Seeing someone who was initially confused become excited after successfully listing a product was one of the most rewarding experiences of this journey.
To encourage early adoption, I also provided promotional support for users. As the administrator of CozonLagosHub, I credited users with ₦20,000 worth of advertising value to help them promote their products on the platform. My goal was to remove barriers and give business owners an opportunity to experience the benefits of online advertising without worrying about the cost.
The appreciation I received from many people motivated me to keep going. Some thanked me for taking the time to explain the platform. Others appreciated the free promotional support and the opportunity to showcase their products. Several business owners expressed excitement about having a dedicated marketplace where they could reach more customers.
Of course, not everyone was ready to join immediately. Some people preferred to observe and see how the platform develops over time. I understand their concerns because trust is earned through consistency and results. Every successful business starts with a small group of people who believe in the vision before it becomes widely known.
Walking through different parts of Lagos, sharing flyers, answering questions, and helping people understand CozonLagosHub has taught me valuable lessons about entrepreneurship. I have learned the importance of patience, persistence, and direct engagement with the community. Building a platform is not only about technology; it is about building relationships and creating value for people.
Today, I remain committed to growing CozonLagosHub and helping more businesses discover opportunities through the platform. Every flyer distributed, every product uploaded, and every new user registered represents another step forward.
I am grateful to everyone who has supported CozonLagosHub so far. Whether you accepted a flyer, signed up, uploaded a product, or shared words of encouragement, your support means a lot. The journey is still in its early stages, but the vision remains strong.
CozonLagosHub is more than just a marketplace. It is a growing community built to help people buy, sell, connect, and grow their businesses. As we continue to expand across Lagos and beyond, I look forward to helping even more entrepreneurs succeed.
This is only the beginning.
